Boudoir is sexy. Boudoir is so much more than a picture taken. A dear friend introduced me to beautifully, curated photographs by Elevation Boudoir and instantly I knew I wanted to be photographed by them. For a long time after I gave birth to my daughter, I didn’t view my body as being sexy or beautiful even when others beg to differ. However, for many reasons I decided to step outside of myself and take the leap with boudoir. It was perfect for me. I love sexiness, I love authenticity, I love uniqueness. Boudoir is all of that and so much more.
I was nervous and excited all in one before my photoshoot. But as soon as I entered the building, the ambiance and energy relaxed me. I knew at that moment I was in the right place at the right time. It was divine timing because I needed to do this for myself. It was the perfect time to go for it. Even better, it was right around the time of my new adult novel release, DANG: The Perfect Family.
My experience was liberating. I felt free like I didn’t have to hide, I didn’t even opt to hide scars because we all have scars—whether it be physical, mental or emotional—none of us are free from faults and flaws.
